Ingredients
Scale
Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 can (8 count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
Sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Arrange Rolls. Place the refrigerated cinnamon rolls evenly spaced in the prepared baking dish, allowing enough room for them to expand while baking.
- Add Cream. Pour the heavy cream evenly over and around the cinnamon rolls, which helps create a creamy, custard-like base during baking.
- Make Sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt until fully combined to make the rich syrup that will soak into the rolls.
- Coat Rolls. Spoon the butter and sugar mixture over the tops of each cinnamon roll, spreading gently to cover each one thoroughly.
- Bake Covered. Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes to allow the rolls to rise and the sauce to infuse the dough.
- Finish Baking. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until the cinnamon rolls turn golden brown and are fully cooked through.
- Cool & Ice. Let the rolls cool slightly, then drizzle the included icing over the warm rolls for a sweet finishing touch before serving.
Notes
- Add chopped pecans or substitute cream cheese glaze for the icing for a richer flavor.
- Serve warm to experience the best texture and gooeyness.
- Prepare the rolls the night before and refrigerate. Bake fresh in the morning for convenient, fresh cinnamon rolls.
