Ingredients
Scale
Beef Filling
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Wrap Assembly
- 1 cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the beef filling. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
- Cook and season the beef. Continue cooking the ground beef mixture for about 6 to 8 minutes until fully browned. Drain any excess grease from the skillet. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes to blend the flavors, then remove from heat.
- Warm the tortillas. Heat the flour tortillas briefly in a dry pan or microwave until they are warm and pliable for easy wrapping.
- Assemble the wraps. Spread about a spoonful of nacho cheese sauce in the center of each warm tortilla. Add a portion of the seasoned beef mixture on top of the cheese sauce. Layer shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños if using, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
- Roll and serve. Drizzle with additional nacho cheese sauce if desired. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly into a wrap. Slice each wrap in half and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- For a spicier version, mix some hot sauce directly into the beef mixture or use spicy nacho cheese sauce.
- After assembling the wraps, you can grill them in a pan or sandwich press for a crispy, toasted finish.
- Ground turkey or plant-based meat alternatives can be substituted for the ground beef for a leaner or vegetarian option.
- Adjust jalapeño quantity according to your heat preference or omit if you want it milder.
