Description

A delicious and hearty Tex-Mex Nacho Cheese Beef Wrap featuring seasoned ground beef, creamy nacho cheese sauce, fresh vegetables, and shredded cheddar cheese, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner with a flavorful blend of spices and customizable toppings.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Wrap and Toppings

  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef mixture: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and ground beef, breaking the beef apart with a spoon. Cook for about 6–8 minutes until beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease from the skillet.
  2. Season the beef: Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes to allow flavors to blend. Remove the skillet from heat.
  3. Warm the tortillas: Heat the flour tortillas briefly in a dry pan or microwave until soft and pliable.
  4. Assemble the wraps: Spread a spoonful of nacho cheese sauce in the center of each warm tortilla. Spoon a portion of the seasoned beef mixture over the cheese. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapeños (if using), sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. Drizzle with additional nacho cheese sauce if desired.
  5. Form the wraps: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly to enclose the filling. Slice each wrap in half diagonally.
  6. Serve warm: Enjoy your nacho cheese beef wraps immediately. Optionally, grill the wraps after assembly for a crispy exterior.

Notes

  • For extra spice, mix hot sauce into the beef mixture or opt for spicy nacho cheese sauce.
  • Grill the assembled wraps in a pan or sandwich press for a crispy finish.
  • Substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat alternatives to vary protein options.
