Description

This Chicken Avocado Wrap is a quick and delicious meal perfect for lunch or dinner. Combining tender cooked chicken breast, creamy avocado, fresh lettuce, and diced tomatoes wrapped in soft flour tortillas, it’s dressed with ranch for a flavorful finish. Ready in under 15 minutes, it offers a healthy balance of protein, vegetables, and satisfying textures in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Wrap Ingredients

  • 1 cooked chicken breast, sliced or shredded
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 tablespoons ranch dressing (or your favorite dressing)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Slice or shred the cooked chicken breast. Slice the avocado and remove the pit. Dice the tomatoes and shred the lettuce if necessary.
  2. Warm Tortillas: Place the tortillas on a microwave-safe plate and warm them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to make them more pliable for wrapping.
  3. Assemble Wraps: Lay the warmed tortillas flat on a clean surface. Add a layer of shredded lettuce on each tortilla, leaving space at the edges. Place the chicken slices or shredded chicken on top of the lettuce. Add avocado slices over the chicken, then sprinkle diced tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  4. Season and Dress: Season the fillings with salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of ranch dressing (or your preferred dressing) over the entire filling to add moisture and flavor.
  5. Wrap Up: Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom up to fully enclose all ingredients in a neat wrap.
  6. Serve: Serve the wrap seam-side down to keep it closed. Slice each wrap in half diagonally if desired for easier eating and presentation.

Notes

  • You can substitute ranch dressing with Caesar or a vinaigrette for different flavor profiles.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas if you prefer healthier or diet-specific options.
  • To add extra crunch, consider including thinly sliced cucumbers or bell peppers.
  • Leftover wraps keep well in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours but might get soggy over time.
  • Grilled chicken can enhance flavor instead of cooked chicken breast.
